So I know I have been bad with blogging SORRY! But I have just been having so much fun at the Ponce Palace that I tend to forget lol. So lets do a recap on the last few days.
Monday: hmmm lets see we worked and I don't think we did anything to adventurous. I went to Lennox for the first time, That place is HUGE! Got me some casual shorts to work in. I am styling!! haha but other than that nothing really. Boring day. (or atleast from what I remember).
Tuesday: AMANDA FINALLY CAME! I had my first day on phones also. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! Definitely talked to Mrs. Claire Brown Gwaltney on the phone. (Grand Council President, NBD) I cannot wait to meet her at Grand Convention (less than two weeks away ekk)! Anyway so phones was sooooo scary! The lines all start ringing at once but I just loved saying, "Good Afternoon! Alpha Delta Pi, this is Courtney speaking how may I help you!" It was so fun. You talk to really interesting people when you are on the phone. Oh well just practicing my good ole communication skills :) Gotta love my major. So we went out to eat at a place called the Vortex. So interesting. The outside has a skull and you have to be 18 to go there. We also got IDed TWICE, never had that happen to me. Oh well my burger was very YUMMY and then we went to MURDER KROGGER and to get the roommate. Wanna laugh? This is a good. SOOOO BASICALLY MY SHIRT GOT STUCK ON ME! But for real like over an hour this shirt was stuck on me. Wanna know the trick? A paperclip surprisingly did the trick. SO after that adventure we decided to watch THE ROOMMATE! Not going to lie it was an excellent movie and kinda scary. My first red box so I enjoyed. Then I am pretty sure we just went night night after that!
Wednesday: Woke up and had a GRAND CONVENTION MEETING. Learning all the ins and outs of Executive Office is such a life time experience. I wish everyone could come play with me here. CALLING ALL DELTA GAMMIES if you are ever in ATL this is a MUST GO TO on your vacation. Okay so I worked in the Foundation. Everyone don't forget tomorrow is the deadline for VIOLETS for my SISTER! But what I was really doing is was seeing who was a doner and if they were a part of the violet circle or one of the societies. I have honestly just have been learning so much its so SUREAL! Then in the afternoon I had phone again. Today was even busier than yesterday. AND I talked to 5 GRAND COUNCIL MEMBERS! EKKKK! Thank you Mrs. Ablard for telling them we love hearing from them. Just getting to chat is probably so cool. Also a Delta Gamma Alumna called while Brittany was on the phones and she told her about me. SO I have her information and I called her but no answer :(. Hopefully she will call me back soon. If not Oh Well maybe it wasn't meant to be. LA LA LA back to the day. Oh the girls decided to go to Church, but I decided to go to my cousins instead. Betsy came to ATL for her internship! Allan decided to cook some steaks that he bought from the doorman and they were actually very tasty. So we ate and then hung out. I then drove home and probably skyped with Matty and then went to bed.
Thursday: More Foundation work. I wrote out violets for my sisters. Everyone should really do them. It is a great cause! I am actually doing mine tomorrow :) Then we had to lunch and that was interesting. The I finished my project and started working on something special for convention. Then it was NAP TIME, boy have I missed nap time. Woke up had some dinner and SYTYCD. Then the night didn't really end the way I excepted. Some things at home aren't the greatest. Please pray for my Dad. He is fine nothing to serious just some personal stuff.
Well I think thats about it for tonight. I hope this catches you up on my adventures. I promise to be more event full. Oh and an update on deleting facebook friends I am done to almost 800. So that didn't take me as long as I suspected it would. Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the night. I will be sure to write back tomorrow.
